What You’ll Do

As a Machine Learning Intern, you will actively contribute to our AI-driven automation processes. Your daily tasks will include:

• Creating datasets: Organizing photoshoots, labeling images, and performing image augmentations.
• Training machine learning models: Launching training runs, configuring models, and familiarizing yourself with our existing AI pipeline.
• Optimizing processes: Identifying improvements in data collection, model training, and performance analysis.
• Supporting model deployment: Assisting in integrating trained models into real-world automation systems.

Skills & Experience That Matter

(Not all are required, but the more, the better!)

• Experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Familiarity with computer vision techniques (image classification, object detection, segmentation).
• Comfortable working with datasets (data augmentation, annotation, preprocessing).
• Knowledge of Python (bonus points for experience with OpenCV, NumPy, Pandas).
• Understanding of neural network architectures (CNNs, transformers, GANs).
• Basic familiarity with Linux and command-line tools for AI development.
• Experience with robotics or automation is a plus but not required.

What we are looking for:

An experienced employee to join us in Basel. The job involves Python and TS coding as well as some architecture. As we are a growing structure get ready to do other tasks depending on your performance and expectations.

Here are the main challenges that you will be facing :

• Adapt the Python to other business cases
• Ensure the processing of bigger amounts of data
• Deal with a more complex workflow (multi GPU, pre processing)
• Provide architecture and best practices advice
• Provide support to interns / juniors
• Improve the CI/CD process
• Integrate the latest deep learning algorithm trained by the ML team in the solution
• Ensure the solution stays scalable

You will have to:

• Code (from specification to unit / functional testing)
• Discuss and challenge current architecture and structure the code
• Support planning and organisation
• Support deployment
• Train and help juniors / interns
• Manage dependencies especially ML/GPU related libraries
• Write unit tests and documentation to ensure scalable solution

But before anything .. write clean and functional code !
